Instagram Gets Major Upgrade with Reposts and Map Features
By The UK Journal
Instagram has launched three major features—Reposts, a location-sharing Map, and a new Friends tab in Reels—designed to boost social interaction.
What’s New on Instagram?
You can now repost public Reels and feed posts. These appear both in your followers’ feeds and in a dedicated Reposts tab on your profile—helping creators reach wider audiences.
Repost Your Favorites
The new Instagram Map lets you share your last active location with friends and explore posts from popular spots—even without sharing yours.

The new Friends tab in Reels shows content your friends liked, reposted, or created—and lets you start chats right from the Reels.

All features are opt-in. You control who sees your activity, and parents get alerts when teens enable location sharing.
